|:| Spring has sprung! |:|

Dear Friends:
It's been months since I've been able to give an update on the news and happenings here at The Arabian Element. The Scottsdale Show kicked off the start to a busy show and traveling season. An incredible week surrounded by dear friends and gorgeous horses. After Scottsdale was over, it was back home to wrap up the winter semester at school and prepare for the first foal of 2009.
On April 5th, Last Luv foaled a most exotic chestnut filly who is sired by the recently exported *Apollo El Jamaal. There are no words to describe her other than outrageously beautiful. She has such a gorgeous face and the most delicate features. I have named her Bettina El Jamaal. She is definitely a diva and most certainly a filly to follow. She is a full sister to *Sonjadora El Jamaal, a filly that I bred and exported to Europe last year who is blossoming into the filly I knew she would.
On May 18th, we had another filly born. A very cute grey filly out of Vanessa MLR, the Versace daughter who is out of a Padrons Psyche daughter. Albeit she was born two weeks early, she is doing well. She is sired by the *Marwan Al Shaqab son, Jesse James. We have named her Di Calabria.
This is such a beautiful time of year for Eastern Ontario. The flowers are in full bloom and everything is so green and lush. I guess the winter months just prepare us and make us thankful for the Spring, Summer and Fall.
I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the shows and wish everyone best of luck!
All my best,
Braden

Dear Friends:
Where has the time gone? It seems like just yesterday we were all getting ready for the holidays and now the holidays are over and we are already into February. I hope this letter finds you well and that you had a wonderful holiday season with family and friends.
December and January were filled with a whirlwind of excitement. I had the opportunity to attend the Scottsdale Arabian Farm Tours that were held the end of December. What an an experience. There is nothing like getting into the warm Scottsdale sun and enjoying some of the most beautiful Arabian horses this time of year when we are having days of 40 below and snow storms.
After the farm tours in Scottsdale, I went up to beautiful Santa Ynez, California. Talk about paradise - it was a dream come true. Santa Ynez is one of the most beautiful places in the world. The mountains and ocean on either side and right in the middle - some of the most beautiful Arabian horses in the world. Visiting the Santa Ynez valley has been one of the highlights of my involvement with Arabian horses. So many memories that will last a lifetime. During my visit to Santa Ynez, I visited Day Dream Arabians, Jade Creek Arabians, Silver Maple Farm, Crimson Farms, Gallun Farms, Om El Arabians and Greengate Farms. Each farm had the most beautiful collection of Arabian horses and it was truly an honor to visit and I am very thankful for the friendships I made.
2009 is off to a very wonderful start and I am so excited for the year to unfold. My first foal arrives out of Last Luv and sired by the recently exported *Apollo El Jamaal. This will be a full sibbling to the extremely beautiful *Sonjadora El Jamaal who was exported to Europe last year. Check back for foaling news and updates!
I hope to see everyone out and about at the shows this year and wish everyone the best of luck with foaling season. Best of luck to everyone heading to Scottsdale!
All my best for 2009 ,

|:| Salon du Cheval World Championships - Paris 2008|:|

Dear Friends:
If the year could not have gotten any better, I had the opportunity to attend my first Salon du Cheval World Championships in Paris! What another experience of a lifetime! It was so incredible to witness history and be apart of such a world class event. It was a real pleasure to meet so many wonderful people around the world and catch up with friends! This was my first time to Paris and it was truly a dream come true to witness international sensations such as *Marwan Al Shaqab, QR Marc, Baanderos, Princess of Marwan, Venetzia, Pianissima, and Imperial Baarez. As a very small breeder, we all strive to breed world class Arabian horses and dream of someday breeding the next world champion who goes on to show at this prestigious event. Attending the Salon du Cheval allowed me to reflect on my future goals and really think about what I would like to achieve as a small breeder. Congratulations to all the winners, owners and breeders of the beautiful horses that competed and were presented. After the show, I took some time to go around the beautiful city of Paris and site see - what an experience. Paris is so magical, a feeling that cannot be described! If you ever have the opportunity to attend the world championships, I suggest you put it at the top of your list!
During this holiday season, my thoughts turn gratefully to those who have been there and supported me and to reflect on the year that has gone by and give thanks to all the wonderful blessings that have come into my life- most importantly, my health, family and friends. I wish you and your family a beautiful Holiday Season and a New Year of prosperity and happiness!
With warm thoughts and best wishes,

|:| Summer & Fall Happenings - Middle East 2008|:|

Dear Friends,
Welcome to the new web site for The Arabian Element. I can't believe how fast the time has gone. It has been months since I have been able to update the web site. I hope you enjoy the new look and feel to the web site.
Sonjadora El Jamaal, the gorgeous Apollo El Jamaal filly out of Last Luv, continues to blossom everyday. She has left for her incredible new home in Europe and while I miss her so much, and as she is the first Arabian I have bred, she will always hold a very special place in my heart. It was so hard to say goodbye but I reminded myself as the trailer pulled away that she has a very bright future and I'm very excited to see her dance on the International show scene. I am so proud to have bred such an exquisite filly and wish her new owners all the success with her and the rest of their beautiful horses. They are truly wonderful people and I couldn't think of any better place for her to go.
The summer months comprised of many shows and seeing different farms. Region 16 Championships in Syracuse is a favorite of mine. I am able to see friends who I am only able to see during the show season, and as well, able to meet and mingle with new people attending. The summer was very busy and I had the opportunity to travel to Arizona, California, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York with the opportunity to see some very beautiful horses and meet some fantastic people.
In October, a dream came true when I had the opportunity to travel to one of the most beautiful countries in the world, the country of Jordan. There, I attended the Middle East Championships with my dear friends Mr. & Mrs. Kahook, the owners of NK Arabians International. Jordan is such a beautiful country, the people are so wonderful and the horses are breathtakingly beautiful. The show was held at the Royal Stables and was a sight to see. It was an honor to be in the presence of so many wonderful people and to see so many beautiful Arabian horses. Each and every member of the NK team is so caring and compassionate, truly dedicated to the Arabian horse (and making foreigners feel welcome!). Their collection of Arabian horses is phenomenal and I look forward to many, many years of friendship. Thank you so much team NK, you are all amazing!
As fall draws to a close, we look towards the holidays and the new year which has lots in store. I am so blessed the Arabian horse brought so many wonderful people into my life and I am so thankful to share these friendships and our love for the Arabian horse together. I hope everyone had a fantastic, successful and memorable summer and fall. Best wishes to you and yours for a safe and happy holiday season.
Best--
Braden
